The NGK DPR8EIX-9 features a fine-wire iridium center electrode with a 0.9 mm gap, designed to deliver a consistently stable spark and improved ignitability. Its high-melting-point iridium alloy provides excellent durability for demanding engine conditions. Trivalent metal plating helps protect against corrosion and seizing, while the copper core supports efficient heat removal. A strong ceramic insulator, corrugated ribs, and triple seals provide additional reliability and protection against flashover and leakage.
